Beneath The Lion’s Head is a 42 image series that borrows ideas from the old eastern supernatural tales, the Hong Kong stereotypes of 90’s movies , and pop culture ephemerals to tell a contemporary story about a community's concept of identity and the fear of losing their way of life.

The seed of the project was an actual online headline which stated that on December 22nd, at around 2 pm, the eyes of Lion’s Rocks turned red. According to the local legend, the eyes turning red is a warning of an upcoming period of turmoil and grief.

Though a fiction, it symbolises the underlying socio-political tension that exist between Hong Kong and mainland China.
