Beneath The Lion’s Head is a 42 image series that mixes the old eastern supernatural tales, the Hong Kong stereotypes of 90’s movies and my childhood memories of Hong Kong based on detective stories, graphic novels, and pop culture ephemerals.

The seed of the project was an actual online headline which stated that on December 22nd, at around 2 pm, the eyes of Lion’s Rocks turned red. This series is a fictional take on what happened on that day.

Told through candid and an unstaged moment from the street of Hong Kong, the series comprises of three sets. The first set tells the story of the day leading up to that incident, the second depicts the aftermath. And the third is the reveal. Though there is a story arc, I will like the viewers to make their conclusion.
